Then, on March 23 ZOZI laid off 40+ people, myself included. The explanations were left intentionally vague. We were left stunned as ZOZI just raised another round of funding. It seems they intentionally over hired sales people to fluff the numbers for investors. What hurts the most is that we had a lot of care about our customers. Even while at our "layoff party" we discussed how bad we felt that we wouldn't be able to make our promised calls/meetings to our customers. I'm not sure what the future holds for ZOZI, but if you're a customer reading this, you might want to look at some other options. Demo some other online booking companies to keep in your back pocket.

-It's like dating someone you know in your gut won't last -Management does ask people to write reviews. So if you see 5 stars and someone just glowing about working there, be cautious. -What they are building is really not that unique or innovative - or even something anyone wants super badly. It's coupons for "ghost tours in SF" and "walking tours for dim sum" - you'll feel that on the inside when they are always trying to figure out new ways of making more $$ and making their numbers seem bigger. -When I tell people I work there, they have never heard of it. -Lack of legit strategy for current product, short term and long term growth. I say "legit" because they might think they have one, but it's not a good one. -You fear month to month you won't have a job for it's lack of stability
