Great Work Environment... but no ability to grow

Pros

I worked with wonderful people and rarely felt that dreaded "I hate going to work" feeling. Very generous employee discount-50% off at boutiques and outlets. You gain a lot of operational knowledge and learn a ton about what it takes to run a retail store. High end of retail pay. Best hourly wage I've ever received working retail.

Cons

It is impossible to grow in this company unless you are willing to wait years and years. I have been in my position for 2 years now, learned pretty much all I can in this role and fully ready to move up but people don't leave their positions often. Many managers have been in their positions for 5+ years and due to that linear growth is near impossible. Manager and Assistant Manager are the only full-time positions. Hours are not always the best. Have been times I've only had 15-18 hours.
