Pros

If you are a makeup artist, learning about mineral makeup is only a plus! The product is AMAZING! You also end up meeting some really great co workers and customers building true relationship aside the fake "girlfriend experience" that the company wants us to give.

Cons

Your DM micro manages, you have no freedom to express yourself, you have a load of paperwork to do that effects your selling performance. Company scares you into performing well in order to keep your employment. The company wants us to lie to customers...for example, they want us to call and tell customers that they can WIN a girlfriend party if (whatever event)... when in all actuality anyone could walk into the store and ask for a girlfriend party and we have to comply. We have to tell customers that ALL of our products are wonderful and give testimony! We had to have a Skincare journal, trying out all products to see how we like them even if it broke us out. It was "MANDATORY"! If you do not have a strong management team, your store will fail! Your life will revolve around the store. If you go to school, have a family, or any kind of life, you will have to put everything on hold. PTO is a joke! IF you do get approved the store has to make up for the hours that you are gone. Company/DM/RM can decided to have blackout date with their convience and make you work months on end without having any vacation or PTO, and if you can not comply their answer is, "if you can't do it then find a new job. The company is all negative. If you make plan...then thats what you should have been doing anyways...and if you don't, YOURE the reason why the district is down or why another store has to make up. It's never "You did great but lets work on A, B, and C! They beat you down until you say that's IT! that's why this company has such a large turnover rate! BEWARE and do your research!

Pros

-Amazing product -Loyal and passionate clients who come back to work with you -Name recognition -Changing to Delta Dental was a plus!

Cons

-Changes in management and the responsibility held by those in new positions (such as Sales Trainers) are creating confusion about what the overall message is, what the expectations are, and where to get support from. -Salaries offered to new associates are NOT competitive and they do not provide the proper hours to on-board new hires. -Health care benefits are TERRIBLE--high co-pays and high deductibles -"Paid Holidays" don't really exist (even though they are listed as a company benefit). If you choose to take it off, it counts negatively toward your payroll. -Using PTO also counts negatively toward your payroll. -Many as worried to seek advice from upper management for fear they will be "coached out the door".
