Pros

Good salary, especially for the Stoke-on-Trent area, plus a bonus scheme. Also extra pay for evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Cons

Whenever possible your bonus is reduced and your extras for evenings, weekends and bank holidays are lost if you are ill for just one day that month. Also the working hours are very unsociable as you have to work most weekends and regular late shifts. On a different note the company treats people like machines, there is nothing personal about this company anymore and they try to control absolutely everything by making rules for everything and if you don't follow without exception you are being threatened with disciplinary action straight away. They also have many procedures and rules in place which have simply no reason but to make the employees life harder. You are also not appreciated or valued one little bit, you are expected to manage huge amounts of work in very short time and even if you do, you won't get a thank you once.

Pros

There is really great team and management in this particular department of the company. You have bigger freedom when working on assignments and responsibility than for example at customer services and everybody is trying to help each other as much as they can. Most managers are incredibly helpful and everybody is trying to work towards a common goal. It was pleasure to be part of this team in the past.

Cons

It can get bit stressful with big projects like in every job, some tasks are quite routine on the contrary, you have to do certain tasks every day which might get quite boring, but great team athosphere makes up for it.

Pros

The wages are up there with the very highest in the industry and they go much further within the local area as Stoke is a very cheap place to rent and buy.

Cons

The company treats individuals as objects. There is a real lack of trust all the way up to Middle Management within the the company with only a very select few able to really make simple decisions. Whilst the pay is good the bonus structure is very rigid outside of Trading with a flat rate given to operational staff. The incentive to work hard is taken away and you notice that people that have been with the company for a while tend to do what they have to do rather than what they need to do to kick the company on.
