Pros

eBay is full of very smart people who are stimulating and fun to work with. The business model, despite any recent criticism, is still one of the best to emerge in a generation.

Cons

The company is in the early stages of a transformation. It's not always clear what we're trying to transform into, and thus it's hard to know if we have the right people to lead through all the changes ahead. Also, a company full of consultants can lead to lots of great strategic thinking, but without robust executional passion and skills, especially as it relates to product.

Pros

Great Place to Learn. Ample oppurtunities. In other companies, people talk about building software which scales to 100s of thousands of users. At eBay you are exposed to an environment which has 100s of millions of users. A totally different level of scale.

Cons

A but chaotic at times. Management is "raw". There is general reluctance in the leadership to take hard decisions and act on it.
