Pros

For a fraction of your soul, integrity, and sanity, you get a job for a few months.

Cons

It’s great that you recently joined eHealth, just be prepare to be laid off after AEP & OEP! My piece of advice to you is: take the job if you really need something to hold you afloat while you search for other jobs but be aware that most likely you will be laid off just like all the others who had came before you.

Pros

Remote work, paid internet/phone service, health insurance. I learned a lot about Medicare

Cons

The sales position is mentally draining and depressing. Keep in mind you are talking to elderly people all day, most don’t have a clue what’s going on. The majority of calls are outbound transferred from third parties which they consider inbound. The marketing is very deceiving, you’ll have people calling for things you know you can’t offer unless they live in poverty but they expect you to turn it into a sale anyway. Expect you to switch peoples medicare plans to make a sale when most people were already on good plans. The top performers are switching 5 Medicare plans a day based on lies for sure. The true ups we’re exaggerated and they cut a large portion of your commission. If you need a job to survive then I’d say go for it, but I wouldn’t leave another job for the sales position. There are never any other positions open either unless you’re an engineer or a senior level position.

Pros

great benefits and enjoyed working with supervisors and managers. learned a lot about medicare.

Cons

comp plans continued to get lower the longer I stayed with company. Found multiple ways to keep a percentage of your commission from you and into their pockets. started as in inbound position no longer the case as 80 percent of the leads are foreign companies calling the elderly and transferring them to you with them having no idea why they are speaking with you. Laid off huge chunk of company with out any notice. They seem afraid to put the eHealth logo on any of their advertisements for some reason. I would stay away from this company until they change upper-management.
