Pros

Good training. Good pay. Work from home. Good benefits.

Cons

Little studying for exam, rushed. Seasonal position. Can’t seem to give you a direct answer on commissions till AEP where you can’t back out and jump to another job.

Pros

Great benefits and great health insurance. They give you 40 hours of paid sick time per year and you earn about 2.5-3.5 hours of PTO per pay period. Also the management in my experience is always willing to help.

Cons

If you miss work and don’t have sick time or PTO 1 day misses is 3 pts. Once you get to 12 points you are fired. And dr. Excuses do not excuse the points. It doesn’t matter why you miss. If you miss and you ding have sick time or PTO to cover it you get pointed and all it takes is missing 1 week of work without sick time or PTO to get fired. And it can’t be excused by a dr. That is just insane to me. They also make it seem like if you aren’t working 12-14 hours a day 7 days a week during AEP that you are not meeting goal and that you aren’t doing enough. The pressure to sell is extreme.

8 hr talk time

Pros

If you need a job it’s not bad, AEP and OEP money is good but outside of those time periods the money is slow. You talk on the phone from the time you clock in until you go home. If youre going to ehealth to make over 85k this is not the place. Great place to go while you look for another job. Pretty easy to get hired - i got paid for recommendations as well.

Cons

You’re ALWAYS ON THE PHONE, and thats not a good thing.. it becomes overwhelming at times because the calls can be either really good or AWFUL! If you dont convert bad calls youre penalized by upper management. On top of being on the phone, you aren’t making great commission on the applications that you submit. 25 apps = 1300 roughly, coming from mortgage you are doing a lot more talking with out a lot of reward.
