Still Loving It!

Pros

Freedom to run and create. Team full of smart people that you can lean on when you need help. Leadership team that's understanding to the challenges that come with work-life balance. Ample levels of communication for your voice to be heard.

Cons

Processes are not yet solidified, so there can be a lot of uncertainty. Since oftentimes departments are not fully fleshed out, you will be a first- and last-line of defense.

Agree with all of this. We'll also continue looping in others and getting feedback on the tough decisions. The "first and last line of defense" comment couldn't be more true. That can become a problem, if everyone weren't so committed to ensuring the patient is taken care of. We haven't run into that because of how committed and caring the team is. We'll continue hiring, so that we have additional folks to help.

Pros

The team is fantastic. Not many places have this many hard working, smart individuals that are open minded and ready to take in multiple view points to find a solution to a problem. Leadership is always open with where the company is headed. The mission is extremely rewarding.

Cons

Startups are a grind and sometimes it can feel like you are moving 1000 miles an hour but someone is always ready to give a helping hand if asked.

Agreed on the team. I'm impressed daily. Thanks for recognizing us being open, even if sometimes the answer is, "we're not at all sure." And that has been the answer before:) Startups can be a grind. That would be made tougher, if we weren't in healthcare...or at least for me, it would. Building solutions in healthcare and seeing them help others is motivating.
