Pros

Great place to work coming out of college to grow your skills . A ton of company perks and events , company really takes care of employees in that way and great company culture . Good benefits , completely paid healthcare . Moving to new facility soon so really puts a lot into work environment . In a few years could be real powerhouse in tech space .

Cons

Biggest issue with icims that you will hear from literally everyone is change . Whether it's your seat , the compensation , your goals or even your responsibities - one day you have something and the next it's completely changed . Pay is not competitive for lower level positions in marketing or sales and pay raises in regards to promotions is very poor . Promotions is another issue at icims . People who perform the best should be promoted and it is instead based on favorites and who management likes the best. ALthough company culture is great in a lot of ways , way to many young and immature college kids that ruin the culture and thrive on gossip. If you are not the clicky type then this place is not for you , not exactly the most professional organization or working environment . Lastly , 9 to 6 hours ruin work life balance . Claim to allow 8 to 5 but most departments don't allow it .

Pros

Great corporate culture. Really care about employees and promote from within. Managers are genuinely interested in their employees futures and career paths.

Cons

Growing too quickly. Lots of shuffling around and changes in processes. Remote employees are sometimes overlooked for internal opportunities and it is difficult to advance if you are not located in HQ.

Pros

iCIMS gears towards their young employees (22-26 age range), they throw socials with alcohol, try to have contests for sales, etc but a lot of what they do is for show. They don't stand behind what they say - I was sold on the CEO's vision/mission but unfortunately his staff doesn't enforce it. They are too busy worrying about what food they're having at the next social or what is the next award they can get PR for to actually deal with any of the issues at hand.

Cons

iCIMS is a company that is very concerned about their brand appearance, which is a great thing for a company, however the perception they want the world to see is not who they truly are. It is a company who hires and puts very young, inexperienced people into roles they don't have any experience in. They are putting people who have 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role and making it horrible for those who now report to this inexperienced kid. People are not treated fairly and equally and promotions are very much, 'who is part of the popular crowd'. It's been a long time since I was in high school; and to see this type of behavior in a company disgusted me. I had a manager report to me who used to make fun of the employees who reported to her and gossiped to others behind their back - this is NOT appropriate behavior for a manager. Other managers and other complained abut her, but again, she was part of the 'in crowd' so it was over looked. I can't be surprised at this persons behavior because this person had 2 years experience out of college before being promoted to a manager to supervise staff - a good individual contributor doesn't make a good manager. The new hires that iCIMS brings in with experience do not stay - they have on-boarding every 2 weeks with a full class of new comers because they can't keep the people who have worked in the real world before. Marketing is one of the biggest offenders, they hire the cheap, young labor and try to hire senior managers with experience to corral the kids but they run amuck and when a manager tries to discipline for poor behavior the manager is the one who is told to back off because it might upset them. I understand we now live in a world of millennia's, but that doesn't mean we can't still have integrity and ethics in business.
