Pros

I started off as a contract employee in Oct 2021 and became a full member of the team in May 2022. It was an easy choice for me because of all the wonderful things I witnessed over my 7 months there already. -iCIMS cares about its employees and proves it through a number of initiatives -work life balance and flexibility -great benefits -strong leadership -fantastic product and innovative ideas for the future -tons of opportunities for professional growth -lots of potential to grow my career. I can see myself here for years

Cons

Truly a great place to work so this is a stretch, but I previously worked for a start up where things moved so fast (sometimes to fast for its own good lol) and sometimes following a process and going through the "red tape" can feel a little long, but I think thats mostly just me needing to work on my patience haha

Pros

The promise of the product is great. Promise is the operative word.

Cons

Left a great job chasing the promises from iCIMS. Bountiful territory, flexible hours, happy employees & positive culture. Reality- Territory was the size of my local Walmart, employees are pulling 12 hour days on escalations and nonsense administrative work to stay afloat, pure misery in all directions & a toxic culture permeating from leaders around the business. There is no ability to bring your style or strategy to your role as you will be raked over the coals for not fitting into their archaic methodology. I witnessed top performers (and trust me there are very few as <20% of people even sniff hitting quota) detract and become disengaged as Sales leadership expectations and reality continued to separate. While my team struggled to even maintain our employment and consistently voiced our concerns regarding factors outside of our control, the CEO & exec team maintained constant toxic positivity regarding the "state of iCIMS", never once addressing the absolutely critical failures around the business. Abysmal employee retention around the business led to systemic failures in Support and Implementations, which fell back on sales and Account management to handle incurable escalations. When doing my research I saw a few reviews that called out that the positive reviews regarding iCIMS are from employees in the Onboarding process. I can confirm this is true, we were incentivized to leave a positive review during my onboarding process as we had no view into the reality of the situation at that time.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Our sales leadership works hard to ensure that our territories provide ample opportunity and the ability to focus on key priorities. We've added many new processes and systems this year to help our sales team manage their territories in the most effective manner. We're also happy to share that we've invested a great deal in training with new trainings available internally along with product certification programs. We even have training from our customer 0 team about how we use our products to attract, engage, hire, and advance our own winning workforce! As the head of TA, I can confirm that we do not incentivize any new hire to leave a review during onboarding. We do provide a link to our Glassdoor interview review area to provide an optional review about the interview experience, specifically. We do not track this, require completion, or provide an incentive for completion. This process was somewhat different 2+ years ago and has since been changed.

Pros

iCIMS really does encourage employees who are interested in a different career than they are already in to work towards that within the company. It's a company with many locations around the world which makes work very fun and interesting when reaching out to other teams. Unlimited PTO and company-wide rest days, option to work fully remote, activities in the office on some Wednesdays. Coworkers are mostly as helpful as they can be when issues and questions arise.

Cons

Teams and individuals can get quite siloed. Issues with communication within the engineering teams and having to wait to move into a new role while in an unhappy situation (not unusual for larger companies). Salaries are a bit low for the industry if you live in a big city. Not as inclusive as they aim to be, but it's a process too.
