not really "sales"

Pros

You get to attend fun events at times.

Cons

Selling "media" is not really a sales job where you will learn a lot about selling. The position is more about relationships and the accounts you are given. The only way to succeed at this job is by getting rewarded by management with accounts that continually bill with reoccuring revenue. I feel bad for fresh, young people who land a job here. They typically think it's glamorous because it's "radio." Most new people last about one year, and once they are not on a guaranteed salary - they leave. Management is also pretty "old school" in their ideas. Rules are often bent here and there depending on the person.
