Pros

Fun co-workers, free concert tickets on occasion, sometimes there was free food from local restaurants in the office

Cons

Very low pay, barely enough to survive on. Very little mobility, someone basically has to die for you to get promoted

Pros

If you are young and just starting out, then the iHeartmedia brand on your resume is great. Get in, get what need for your resume and skillsets, then parlay that to go to a company where you can make real money and have long term growth.

Cons

Don't keep their promises. If you are told that they will give your established ad accounts, get it in writing and signed. Otherwise, convenient amnesia will set in.You are screwed if given a manager who knows nothing about the industry. They will not be accountable. Doesn't pay enough money for the hassle. New sales reps turnover is high. Those who stay have been in the radio industry for years and it's probably too difficult to start over. Everyone else quickly realizes that they can take their sales skills elsewhere get paid reasonable base and commission.
