Pros

Good hours. Never really had to work more than 9-5 and really flexible around the holidays.

Cons

Terrible pay. Disorganized executive team. Not a defined career path at the starting level. They expect you to leave and get more experience somewhere else and return.

Pros

Having a "glamorous" job by working at a radio station, working in the entertainment industry, occasionally getting to meet music artists when when they visit the local radio station or perform at station events, occasionally you get concert tickets, large company, you can relocate in the US.

Cons

My experience working in sales at iHeartMedia has been absolutely terrible and I wouldn't recommend this job to anyone. You are constantly under large amounts of pressure to meet high sales goals by selling to calling on local businesses that view you as just another person that's trying to sell them something. You are constantly either trying to persuade people to commit to buy advertising and then once they buy, you usually have to persuade them to pay their bills. iHeart gives you a base pay with commission for your first six months and then after that it's 100% commission and very difficult to make a decent salary. Work environment is very competitive and co-workers will stab you in the back in heartbeat just so they can get ahead. Management are bullies that try to motivate you by telling you everything you need to improve on.

Pros

Pay is fair. Technical colleagues are good and friendly. A collegial work environment. There are opportunities to learn new technologies and apply them. Since the current infrastructure still needs a lot work, one can make significant contributions. The best part is that there is a good work-life balance.

Cons

Maybe this only apply to our team -- there is not enough support from the management so the turn over is kind of high. IMHO, the quality of the product managers is uneven. But on the other hand, I do wish the product managers have more power so that they can coordinate different teams to provide a consistent and intuitive user experience.
