Pros

No one makes a TON of money no matter what they do (aside from Ryan Seacrest and Rush Limbaugh) so even though you feel sorely underpaid for what you are doing, everyone is in the same boat. Talk show hosts and program directors couldn't afford homes in my San Diego market, which is pathetic. You get lots of free food. You get free tickets if you can outrun the in-house prize pig. If you work in promotions you get to be outside.

Cons

Horrible, horrible pay for the market you work in. Seriously expect to make $15-25k more in a comparable job in the same town. Your supervisors and management have no management training and don't even know how to do your job. Upper Management is upstairs and have little to no creative skills. They are in their positions because they kiss butt better than the next guy not because of actual skills in the position. Kissing butt involved volunteering your own employees in the next wave of firings. They hire unqualified program directors and when the pd realizes he is unable to do the job he starts taking it out on employees by being insulting and difficult. If you don't have a brand new contract expect to be treated as scum. If you are full-time expect to be forced to work 11 hour days every day and weekends. The safest position is a part-timer but you will work full-time hours some weeks and others you won't make enough to eat. Feast and famine. 99% of the people that work here have taken on one of four roles to have longevity and not go completely insane. Butt kisser, Blame passer, Trust Fund Reliant, Constant Complainer. Many take on more than one category.
