Pros

The management team is always looking for ways to help you build your job skills. I grew as an employee and as a person from working with such great people! I was given every opportunity to learn new things ranging from how to build a client base, how to successfully build a market event from the ground up and given the sholls to vamp up my leadership skills! Everyday was exciting! I am grateful to have had the oppotunity to work for the best!!! Wish I could have stayed!

Cons

I know the Account Execs were stressed due to quotas, but money and numbers is the name of the game. Clear Channel seems to be constantly restructing - employees have to hold their breath every time this takes place in hopes that they will have a place to work tomorrow. However from what I understand - most are given a generous severence package.

Pros

If you have a good manager you will be OK. It's all about who you are working with. A good group will make up for all the downfalls of corporate and Sr. Management. I have never worked so hard with such a good group of people before. Radio is a family but some people need to leave the family in order to make ends meet.

Cons

Don't expect a raise or to move up without doing all the leg work yourself. If you want to transfer to another market to move up you will be completing all the networking and getting the new job yourself. Management does not help you move up in the company.

Pros

Good place to network with celebrities, business owners, and high-level executives. Flexible schedule. Independence.

Cons

Horrible pay. You can make more working as a McDonalds crew-chief or shift manager. Horrible mid-level and senior market management. Uneducated managers (no college degree). Lack of training (none whatsoever). They expect all employees to hit the ground running from day one no matter the level of experience. No training is provided. They consider training sitting with managers weekly and talking about how much you haven't done for the company lately. No expenses paid, NONE. My role is outside sales and they do not cover gas or mileage or car allowance.
