Pros

Working at Clear Channel was a wonderful Experience. My salary was great, my health benefits were good, and the perks of free concerts, movie premiers, meeting celebrities, and the great work dinners and lunches were even better. I loved my co-workers, and it was a very family-oriented work environment. I feel that as long as you did your job, and did it well, you had nothing to worry about come lay-off season.

Cons

While working at Clear Channel was a wonderful experience, it was a challenging experience as my position was very demanding. I felt like I was working 24/7, and I didn't have a life outside of work at all. For me, there was little to no work/life balance, and eventually it took its toll. In addition to the heavy demand of my position, Clear Channel is very political — if you aren't careful, you'll become a pawn in some political warfare of higher executives.

Pros

Experience in every job I've had really depends on my immediate supervisor and I was fortunate in this company to work for a great manager who understood how to balance work/life and reward innovation.

Cons

The top management of the company, however, is very much stuck in a business model that's a good 15 years old. Not a bad experience overall; just don't expect it to get you anywhere and don't expect to be doing anything new or innovative.

Pros

Easy jobs, most of the time I sit waiting for other people to get their job done; but still get paid for it. It has it's benefits of getting free stuff or free food at times; but I love interacting with the listeners.

Cons

Sometimes, the cliques seem to form and if you're not someone who's driving a BMW, or all up on the latest trends; you seem to be left out of different things. A lot of the time, part timers are treated as if they don't exist within the staff of a radio station.
