      Designers Beware!!!

      Work life balance is good Low expectations for work output

      - The design team is an absolute joke. If you are a product designer, do not work here. You will not get better at design and you will not be given the opportunity to work on fulfilling design projects - Managers on the design team have led the product design team straight into the ground. There is no framework that a design team should have - research, design library, testing of designs -- NONE of that exists here. - I want to reiterate, if you are a designer please do not work here for your own sake of your career and your sanity.

      Pros

      The people are nice, supportive, and knowledgeable. The flexibility with remote work during COVID-19 has been nice. Good place to start a career.

      Cons

      The pay is significantly below the market value which has resulted in higher than usual turnover. It’s simply not commensurate with the amount of work/responsibilities and the complexity of the domain. With remote work proliferating in the market, people have more options many of which come with a big pay bump—not because other companies pay its employees a lot more but because nCino is that much below the current market average. The teams are understaffed (relative to the organizational goals).

      Pros

      Good PTO. Great benefits program with an HSA account. Free snacks. Clean and up to date work environment. Sometimes they put their employees first. Some leniency and understanding by managers. Volunteer days.

      Cons

      There is a huge amount of favoritism toward certain teams. Some teams are constantly hiring new employees, while others need help but can't get the budget to hire more individuals. There have been major discrimination toward certain employees. There can be a spoiled nature with many individuals that work at the company. Pay truly isn't up to par with the work. While they preach a healthy work / life balance, it isn't always present when it's needed the most. 401k needs quite a bit of improvement.
