      A fast-paced company that cares about its people

      Pros

      nVent has great programs to support women and diverse populations. For a smaller company (~10k employees), I was surprised at the high number of ERGs (with a Chief Inclusion & Diversity Officer even!). Now that I'm in the company, I see that the culture really stems our desire to take a fresh spin on culture after our spin from Pentair (2018). We have strong female leadership at the board and C-suite level, and I believe that's made many positive waves throughout the organization. It means something to have a female CEO! I'm proud to be a member of this company--for what we do (connect and protect the world!), and for who we are! I've also gotten some great opportunity to grow and advance in my year within the company. Love it!

      Cons

      Like many other companies, we struggle with prioritization. It's overcome-able, but people need to be prepared for the fast pace of a quickly growing organization. I believe the pros outweigh the cons by a long shot for me. :)

      Fantastic culture GOOD pay rate Lots of overtime (vol or mand dependent on dept) Employee events, giveaways, and awards are a common occurrence

      Outdated equipment Lack of exp maintenance crew No climate control

      Nice building with free drinks

      Cons

      Nvent relys heavily on the work done by their hourly employees from the shop floor to corporate staff. Yet they only give bonuses to salaried employees meaning management. Also they only give 2 weeks vacation.
