      Bad work environment. Bad middle management

      Pros

      Some good colleagues. Most left.

      Cons

      Good/Experienced people get demoralized and leave as soon as possible because of poor middle management. Appraisals and performance reviews don’t mean much for career growth. Incompetent people stay for promotions and get promoted for being friends with their manager. People promoted to management without training because of years in the company. Hostile work environment and stressful situations are common in some groups with high turn over.

      Pros

      ON Semiconductor works in collaborative environment. Although it is a large company, you can often times get a small company feel due to the culture. There is always room for development, but it is employee driven.

      Cons

      Company is ran similar to all other companies in the industry. It is ran very lean and employees carry a heavy workload. "If you do well at your job, then you get to do other people's jobs too!"

      Pros

      - The schedule was by far my favorite part. - You get a decent amount of breaks. ( 2 30 min. breaks, one 50 min lunch) - A very diverse workplace with many interesting people to meet.

      Cons

      - Some parts of your area are always very busy, like metrology in etch. In that place you hardly have any time to get a drink before theres something else to be done. - Low pay.. my base was 13.50, but about 15 with the night shift bonus. - Very repetitive work. In the beginning it's all exciting and different but it gets old really fast.
