The ability to work for one of the best orchestras in the world was outstanding. They have a great benefits package along with solid retirement plans. The perks of being able to see the orchestra whenever I wanted was definitely a plus.
Cons
The senior management is stuck in the stone age. They refuse to listen to anyone with ideas. If it wasn't their idea, they don't want to listen. They also micromanage everyone-to the point of not even sending a single email without them reviewing it which in turn slows down efficiency.
Love the majority of people I work with, but management tends to say one thing and do another (at least in my department). All dental and most health covered.
Cons
Very bureaucratic organization. Innovation moves slowly. Felt very underutilized by my manager and at time was micromanaged.
