Pros

First off please note then when reading other's reviews that there are MANY divisions and companies under the ThyssenKrupp name. Do not allow other's negative reviews deter you from the company as their experience is of their division only. I personally work for the Industrial Services Division under ThyssenKrupp Materials NA which I can't recommend enough. There is a tremendous amount of growth opportunities available. You get out what you put in. If you have a passion for what you do it will show. If you provide solutions and are actively engaged you will be rewarded. They have an excellent benefits package and 401k plus profit share.

Cons

The culture is under repair and being put as a top priority via employee culture surveys. There is nothing wrong with the current culture but as with any organization there is always room for improvement.

Pros

Decent pay for college grads getting into Sales. You learn a good deal about the industry. Big name, looks good on a resume. Honestly, this company is okay. 401k plan is decent, paid twice a month, etc.

Cons

Its just a very disappointing experience working for such a large company. After a couple years, not really a way to make much more. Chances for promotion are extremely slim. The company does not invest in things it really needs such as manpower, inventory, resources, etc. Instead, they constantly squeeze the orange to see if there is another drop left. Commission plans are changed every year, making it impossible for those with experience to make at least a little bit more. You just get the feeling that they answer more to shareholders than employees. Tuition reimbursement exists but its a joke, you need to get a B (okay) but after your done with your classes you need to stay a couple years with the company or repay 50% of whatever they've reimbursed. Leadership in this company is the biggest problem. In the US, they are just puppets, cannot provide sub-evels with what they need so that they can work more efficiently with less frustrations. They absolutely love to pay big $$ for key people at other competitors as if this will solve problems, then they ignore everyone else's pleas for help, including management at branch levels. Vacation is below average, and you have to purchase if you want extra. Benefits below average. Just a below average experience.
