The work itself is enjoyable and there is a lot to learn. Customers are usually nice.

Cons

- Technician salary is laughable - Bonuses are 10% after labor costs exceeds $150 and do not scale after that, meaning you don't get a lot for your work and the customer gets screwed - They will fire you without reason, sometimes using that as a threat. I have seen this done to other employees - coworkers do not take the job seriously and management does nothing about it. Management is never at the store, so they cannot help you should things go wrong (they often do) - no benefits, occasionally given a "pizza party" as compensation as if we were 5th graders - given inadequate tools for the job and not allowed to purchase better ones - Shady internal things going on. Breech of contracts, fraud and theft, customer extortion for reviews; All greenlit by managment.

Due to the turnaround and the fact that it’s a reverse pyramid, you can move up easily. You just don’t move up in money.

Cons

Bottom level technicians make the more than management.
