Courtny was working as a Hospital Service Technician when her daughter, Oaklyn was born prematurely at 25 weeks. Oaklyn was transported to the local children's hospital where Agiliti has an onsite medical equipment management program. "For over two months I observed the Agiliti equipment that was used to help save her life. She stayed in a giraffe bed to keep her body temperature up until she was able to do so on her own. Oaklyn was not able to drink out of bottles, she was on continuous feeding that was controlled by an Agiliti-owned syringe pump. We are happy to say that she is now happy and healthy all thanks to the equipment solutions available and the amazing work done by the clinical staff. Jeff, a Hospital Operations Supervisor from St. Louis, MO discusses his personal experience with Agiliti that inspired a career change. "At no other time was our power to change a life made clearer than the day my mom fell into a coma at the hospital I worked in. Observing the RN and her slight adjustments to my mother's IV meds showed me, firsthand, how having equipment that was not only maintained, but also inspected and tested for accuracy wasn't just something I did at work, it was now keeping my mom alive. Our jobs help keep moms alive. That day, it was my mom. This experience inspired me to shift my duties at Agiliti and step into the role of Hospital Quality Coordinator and ensure all IV pumps were 'mom approved'."
