Walking every plant floor and counting every fixture, Mark Minter, our “Energy Guru,” led a hands-on effort to modernize our lighting and improve energy efficiency across our US operations. It turns out that that changing light bulbs can save a whole lot of energy: 5.5 million kWh in Agropur's case. It’s a story of curiosity, collaboration, and the kind of dedication that makes a real difference, one light at a time. On World Day for Safety and Health at Work last month, we were proud to highlight our Hull, Iowa plant, which was once again honored with the Hazard Control Recognition Award from the Iowa-Illinois Safety Council for 2024. This distinction is awarded to organizations that implement specific, identifiable changes aimed at reducing or eliminating exposure to workplace hazards. This award also underscores the ongoing commitment of our Hull plant to workplace safety, as it has received this recognition annually since 2012. Congratulations to everyone who contributed to this remarkable success! Matt Mouser, Agropur’s Safety Manager in Hull, shares his thoughts on this achievement.
