For International Women’s Month, Baxter International Inc. is highlighting our #FemaleVets, and how their military experience helped them transition into the role they’re in today. After serving in the US Army for 6 years, Cindy Smith was able to utilize her military skills and 22 years in nursing to build her career at Baxter. She has showcased relationship-building, and leadership, throughout her #LifeAtBaxter starting as a Clinical Consultant and now a Medical Affairs Manager. Cindy has remained successful inside and outside of the corporate world following her military transition. She has a daughter in college and is engaged to be married in Ireland this year to a US Navy veteran. Cindy loves to travel, and volunteers to give back her time to the military and local veterans. Making the decision to leave the military and return to civilian life can be a big change. #ThisIsWhere Baxter will help ease that transition, and help veterans find the right career fit for them.

Kari Nelson was able to find her #LifeAtBaxter after serving 10 years in the military. She brings vast military experience and has been able to showcase that in a role within Talent Acquisition. We're proud to announce that we have officially achieved accreditation as a menopause-friendly employer in the UK & Ireland nine months after committing to reach this independent standard. This accreditation is a huge milestone involving significant work from multiple people across the UKI organisation. Over the past 18 months, we have implemented several initiatives to demonstrate our commitment to being menopause friendly. HR policies have been revised, training resources have been introduced, and a new information portal, 'The Menopause Hotspot,' was launched. Multiple coffee chats, virtually and face-to-face, at our manufacturing sites have taken place, with over 300 employees talking openly and increasing awareness around this subject.
