When Kristi joined Best Buy as a Geek Squad Manager, she never imagined it would grow into a long-term career. Over time, she gained valuable leadership insights and invested her experience in the people around her. Fourteen years later, she holds the role of supply chain director. Her journey has been filled with learning moments, meaningful challenges and personal and professional growth. “To everyone who has been part of this journey, thank you,” she said. “Your impact has made all the difference.”

For Makayla, working at Best Buy was not something she envisioned for herself. When the right opportunity presented itself, she kept an open mind and applied. The result has been a rewarding career that’s allowed her to build skills across multiple teams over the past 10 years. “I didn’t think someone without a degree could work at a corporate office,” she said. “I just had no clue that was something that could be in my future.”

During the hiring process, Kate embodies one of Best Buy’s values—unleashing the power of our people. Instead of focusing on tech knowledge, she looks for people who have the people skills to create a great experience for our customers. “I can't teach you how to have a conversation. I can teach you how to sell fridge, no problem,” she said.

Kate - Experience Manager
For Matt, a positive culture sets the tone for doing great work together with his supply chain colleagues. "It is so much more fun and enjoyable when we're doing it with people that we care about,” he said.

For Ian, what started as a high school hobby turned into a career built on helping people with Geek Squad. “I enjoy creative problem-solving and helping our clients hopefully leave the store in a better mood than they came in.”
