In our recent employee engagement survey, 89% of our people felt BuroHappold valued diversity in the workplace. We recognise there is always room for improvement and are committed to becoming an even more diverse global practice. We have bigger ambitions to go further and are already demonstrating our support to overcome the lack of gender, racial, socio-economic and LGBT+ representation in the Engineering space and have created a global Diversity & Inclusion steering group to drive change across our business. Congratulations to our Student Intern, Bartlomiej, who won the first prize in the international ASHRAE Student Design Competition in HVAC System Selection, beating a number of teams from universities across the globe. Bartlomiej would like to extend thanks to Warsaw University Ph.D Piotr Bartkiewicz and his colleague, Manuel Delgado who helped him to achieve this.
