Would you have guessed that the answer to all three of the following questions is yes? "First, does amplifying someone make their contribution seem better? Second, does amplifying someone else make the amplifier (the person doing the amplifying) look good, too? And third, can groups use amplification to help underrepresented voices be heard?" "By asking questions as a leader, you also communicate that questioning is important. You’ll inspire people to identify new opportunities and to ask for help when they need it. These behaviors lead to a culture of learning, which is critical, since the institutions that will thrive in the future are those that encourage everyone to learn faster and more rapidly expand the value that they deliver to their stakeholders." Asking questions as a leader is a great way to build trust and model behaviors that will strengthen your team's culture. #CreateCommunity #LearnAndGrow
In the wake of a rise in violence towards the Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, we wanted to help. So we found a great organization and donated what we could. We then let our people know that we would be matching donations, and to the surprise of nobody, they came through in a big way. In all, we donated $26,060 to Stop AAPI Hate. So proud of our people for stepping up for such an important cause! #createcommunity #respecteveryperson
