Our team members volunteered through our Crowley Cares program over two days sorting, bagging, and distributing food at the Jacksonville USO for military families facing food insecurity. Crowley Cares, our employee-driven charitable and volunteerism arm, donated an additional $3,500 to continue the ongoing support of the USO and helping our active-duty military families. Crowley is making moves in the industry toward its goal of sustainability. Take some time and check out MarineLog Magazine’s podcast Listen Up! to hear Crowley’s Coulston “Cole” Van Gundy, director-commercial operations and ABB Marine & Ports’ David Lee discuss our 82-foot eWolf tug – the first of its kind in the U.S.
Welcome to the team! Dr. Ashwani Dev has joined the Crowley Solutions leadership team as vice president, digital business. In his role, Ashwani will lead the business unit’s go-to-market product initiatives in the supply chain and financial technology “fintech” domains.
Nearly every aspect of daily life is made possible because a truck driver delivered the goods and resources needed. Happy National Truck Driver Appreciation Week, and a big THANK YOU to our Crowley and partner drivers for all you do!
Kudos to our mariners aboard the Crowley-managed MT Golden State for protecting lives at sea. After hearing a distress call from a 26-foot boat adrift in the Gulf of Mexico, the crew responded quickly. Aligning the 600-foot tanker in blustery seas, they secured the vessels with lines and rescued the boaters, who were later transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Sector Key West.
Being a high-performing company means supporting the health and wellness of our people and families. Congrats to our teams for living that promise by winning the Nation's Best and Brightest in Wellness Award for the sixth straight year.
Congrats to Mavry Sepulvado and Andrew Hubert of the Texas A&M University Maritime Academy. Their success has earned them Thomas B. Crowley Sr. Memorial Scholarships!
Congrats to our teams across our global services -- once again, Inbound Logistics has honored Crowley among its G75 Green Supply Chain companies that "go above and beyond to ensure their global supply chains are sustainable, and that their operations are socially and environmentally friendly."
There's no doubt unity and inclusion make us stronger. As we strengthen our commitment to diversity beyond policies to engagement, we are thrilled to share our latest employee resource group, the Stronger Together: LGBTQ+ Alliance. Their mission is to amplify the experience of Crowley's LGBTQ+ members and the value they bring to our purpose of enriching lives through innovative solutions done right. Emily Glavan and César Vásquez M., co-chairs, tell us more about the group's value. #OneCrowley #DiversityandInclusion
We recently received the First Coast Healthiest Companies Platinum Level Award, given by the First Coast Worksite Wellness Council (FCWWC). Earning this for a sixth consecutive time is especially meaningful after a year like 2020, which challenged us to create new ways to stay connected with our people and support their well-being. Kudos to our employee teams and external partners who ensure our employees receive elite wellness support.
