We are thrilled to announce the partial resumption of operations at our Caldwell plant — just a few short months after a fire tore through the facility last year. “When news of the fire broke, our first concern was for the safety and well-being of our employees in Caldwell, who acted with great courage and urgency to help ensure that everyone was safely evacuated from the building,” said Joe Coote, chief executive officer at Darigold, who was in Caldwell to welcome employees back to the facility and thank them for their hard work and flexibility since the fire. “When we knew that our employees were safe, we directed the full weight of our co-op to ensuring that milk pickups would continue in order to mitigate losses for our hard-working farmer owners, finding temporary work assignments for our displaced employees, increasing production in other Darigold facilities to mitigate disruption to our supply chain to the extent we could, and resuming production as soon it was feasible.” #DarigoldCaldwell #CaldwellIdaho #DarigoldButter

The 44-by-66-foot mural featuring a Holstein cow with its spots arranged as a world map not only celebrates our farmer-owners, who have worked alongside cows for over 100 years to produce the highest quality dairy products, but also commemorates our efforts to ensure that Darigold creates a diverse, equitable and inclusive work environment that allows team members across our entire enterprise to thrive. #DEI #DarigoldsWorldCow #HowNowWorldCow

Stewardship comes naturally to us. We see it at our processing plants, where we cut energy and fuel use; in our employees — like Travis, and Veronica — and we see it in our Northwest Dairy Association producers and their children.
