Check out all the hard work our Dominoids did over the summer with Domino's summer hunger relief initiative: 🥫 Hosted a food drive at Domino’s World Resource Center in Ann Arbor, MI and collected 400 lbs. of food with Food Gatherers 📦 Domino’s finance team conducted a Lunches with Love activity where more than 100 lunches were assembled and distributed to children by local food pantries ❤️ Domino’s corporate team volunteered at local food banks in Denver, CO and Houston, TX to help package over 5,000 lbs. of food 🤝 Distributed over $230,000 in grants to local organizations working to fight food insecurity in the communities we serve 🍕 Domino’s corporate worked with local franchisees to deliver over 1,200 pizzas to various nonprofits surrounding our corporate headquarters We couldn’t be prouder of all the hard work done this past summer to help fight food insecurity and make a difference in the communities we serve.
Sunshine, smiles, and a whole lot of heart! ❤️ The Domino’s Technology team recently got together for their Summer Outing event in Ann Arbor, MI. ☀ From team-building to bike-building, over 300 Dominoids enjoyed food, fun, raised $1,700 for Domino’s Partners Foundation, and worked with Bikes for Goodness Sake to build 12 bikes, which were donated to Peace Neighborhood Center, a nonprofit organization in Ann Arbor that promotes self-sufficiency by providing critical services like after-school programs. 🚲 To learn more about the Partners Foundation, click the link below.
One of Domino’s values is to Put People First, and Domino’s teams are putting that into action by delivering a difference through volunteerism. Take a look at the team of Dominoids who participated in the Motor City Pride parade in Detroit, Michigan; where they celebrated love, advocated for equality, and stood in solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community. Led by the Domino’s Business Resource Group, True Colors, the team handed out free pizza, promoted hiring opportunities, and raised money for local nonprofit, Stand with Trans, an organization that advocates for and supports trans youth and their loved ones. Domino’s will continue to create an inclusive workplace culture. We are committed to ensuring our employees are heard, represented, and respected at work. 🌈❤️🍕
A huge congratulations to Joana Mendes, the first woman to win the Domino’s World’s Fastest Pizza Maker title! 🏆 In early May, thousands of Dominoids attended the Domino’s World Wide Rally in Las Vegas, NV where the competition took place. Joana, an assistant manager at Domino’s in Ipswich, England won the title by making three large pizzas in a record-breaking 39.2 seconds! 🍕 From starting with Domino’s as a customer service representative in 2015 to achieving this incredible milestone, Joana’s dedication and passion are truly inspiring. Way to go, Joana! 🎉
At Domino’s, a core value that the company and all team members stand by is to grow & win together. This past year, the learning and development team at Domino’s underscored this core value by unveiling a new ‘Leadership Essentials' program, where company leaders learn inclusive leadership behaviors and how to improve employee engagement and overall leadership effectiveness. Board members of Domino’s Employee Resource Groups recently came together for the inaugural Leadership Retreat at the Domino’s World Resource Center in Ann Arbor, MI. These groups are voluntary, employee-led groups whose aim is to foster a diverse, inclusive workplace. This event marked the transition from Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to Business Resource Groups (BRGs). In this new strategic mindset, the BRG Leaders will serve as trusted advisors to assist and support in decision-making, and foster a culture of belonging, inclusion, and allyship. 🍕 During the retreat, BRG Leaders and Executive Sponsors spent time: 💙 Strategizing for the upcoming year with the BRG mindset ❤️ Creating ‘Lunches with Love’ bags, which will be distributed to children in the local community by Food Gatherers 💙 Commemorating the moment by designing the pieces that created a Domino’s heart mosaic representing the 10,000+ hearts of the company.
Throughout the month of February, Domino’s employees took part in several events to commemorate Black History Month. Members of Domino’s Resource Group, BLISS (Black Leaders Innovating, Strategizing, and Succeeding), began the month’s celebration by attending the movie screening of ‘In the Heat of the Night’ at the Michigan Theater Foundation in Ann Arbor, MI. In honor of this year’s Black History Month theme, "African Americans and the Arts", BLISS organized an Art Fair at the Domino’s World Resource Center (WRC). Local black artists set up booths in the WRC for Domino’s employees to view the diverse artwork. To read more about these celebrations, click the link below.
Domino’s is proud to highlight our partnership with American Farmland Trust – an organization that focuses on the conservation and management of rural land, specifically through sustainable agriculture advocacy, education and assistance. Domino’s support of AFT goes toward the Brighter Future Fund which creates opportunities for underserved farmers and invests in the viability of their farms, ranches and urban gardens. This year, Dazmonique Carr, a local urban farmer in Detroit, MI, received a grant from the Brighter Future Fund. Domino’s team members got the amazing opportunity to volunteer at her farm, Deeply Rooted Gardens, and learn about the farms’ incredible impact on the local community.
