Our company has a long, rich history in Michigan and we work hard to create a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace for all employees. But we need the same protections in place afforded to workers in all businesses across our state. As our President and CFO, Howard Ungerleider said, “Until that’s enshrined into law, we have work to do.”
For the fourth consecutive year, we have received a top score from Disability:IN and the American Association of People with Disabilities on the 2020 Disability Equality Index, again placing our company among the “Best Places to Work for Disability Inclusion.”
Karen S. Carter joined Brennan Lafferty of Plastics News for a conversation about Dow's inclusion and diversity journey, the actions our company is taking to accelerate change and address racism, inequality, and injustice, and much more.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, our employees have searched for a better understanding of how the Company can help fight the virus and serve applications in short supply. That’s the “do it better” mindset Dow was built on and that our people carry on today. Our team in Texas City, Texas embodies that spirit, recently finding a way to make new isopropyl alcohol (IPA) product available for sanitizer, pharmaceutical and medical applications. Brendy Lange, business vice president for Industrial Solutions, reflects on the past several months and this recent success in our Seek Together blog.
"We are listening and learning, we’re committed to working with our colleagues and partners to be part of the solution. We don’t have all the answers. But this we do know: #BlackLivesMatter. Today, we’re announcing a set of actions to address racism, inequality, and injustice." - Jim Fitterling, Dow Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Dow
