This May, Elsevier celebrates Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month and the contributions of its #AAPI employees – past and present. Every year, this is an opportunity to listen and learn about the diversity within AAPI communities as well as how deep the connections are to all facets of American history. This year’s AAPI Heritage Month brings heightened awareness and significance, given the recent violence directed against Asian Americans. Join in to commit to a culture of inclusion and diversity, where all are welcomed, respected, connected, and engaged. It is especially important now more than ever before to stand together and recognize the important achievements and vast impact of the AAPI. Let's celebrate and learn about the AAPI Heritage. “I am happy to be a part of the Asian Heritage Resources & Alliance in St. Louis (ASHRAS) ERG. It creates a venue where we can talk about our issues and support each other, share our experiences and background, and celebrate Asian culture. . ." - Sherryl Sacay, Knowledge & Continuous Improvement Manager, Elsevier.
At Elsevier, we join everyone to celebrate #GirlsinICT. While girls across the world tend to outperform boys in reading and writing skills, they continue to be under-represented in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). For #GirlsinICT Day and beyond, at Elsevier, we support technology education, skills training and encourage more girls and young women to actively pursue careers in STEM. Join in and help the world to build awareness by encouraging girls and young women to pursue STEM education and continue to inspire girls and young women to work in STEM careers. We are striving to improve gender balance in academic research globally and promote inclusion and diversity best practices to help foster diverse and inclusive future generations of STEM graduates. #elsevier #elsevierlife #ElsevierDiversity #discoverelsevier
