Meet Chloe, a UX designer in our Creative Lab. An anthropology major, her career path took an interesting turn in college when she discovered her passion for user experience design. Upon graduation she enrolled in a UX design course, which led to her current role where she works on strategy and wireframing for Esri’s industry and brand web pages and campaigns. What if we could better understand the world's biggest challenges simply by looking at a map? In this TED Talk Esri president Jack Dangermond discusses how his company is building a geospatial nervous system: a global, interconnected GIS network that reveals patterns and visualizes trends -- and could transform the way we make decisions about nearly everything and design a better future.
Meet Darnell, a senior software development engineer working on ArcGIS Insights, Esri’s product that fuses location analytics with business intelligence to help our customers answer questions they didn’t know to ask, allowing them to make better business decisions. “I was drawn to Esri because of the great work they do for our community. That made me really excited to join the company. Once I joined, I learned about all the ways they impact the world to truly make it a better place,” says Darnell. After a short time with Esri, he was invited to play for the Los Angeles Lakers D League team, an opportunity he couldn’t pass up. After playing for two years, Darnell returned to Esri. “The most rewarding part of my work is when I go to conferences and see all the great ways our partners and consumers use ArcGIS Insights to solve issues effectively,” he says. “My career growth has been amazing.
