In May, teammates came together to experience culture through food, movement, and storytelling. From supporting a local business with a KBBQ lunch to exploring a thoughtfully curated snack table featuring treats from across Asian cultures, every element invited connection and discovery. A live Bollywood dance performance brought incredible energy and artistry to the day, alongside films highlighting AAPI voices and stories. Experiences like these foster deeper understanding, strengthen connections, and help build a workplace where people feel seen and valued. First Entertainment’s EEC recently hosted our annual Comfort and Cuddles event, focused on supporting teammate mental health in a meaningful and memorable way. Teammates enjoyed comfort food, took a break to recharge, and spent time with special guests, adorable puppies from Pups Without Borders. In recognition of National Adopt a Shelter Pet Day, they had the opportunity to adopt on spot. It was a great reminder small moments of care, connection, and joy can have a big impact. Our Employee Engagement Crew hosted a roundtable where LGBTQ+ teammates and allies came together to ask questions, share experiences, and engage in open conversations around allyship, identity, and inclusion. We also joined in on the celebration at the Sony Pictures Entertainment lot, sponsoring the photo booth at their Pride Happy Hour event—bringing a little extra joy and color to a vibrant evening of community and pride. In addition, Victor Tang, Learning and Development Specialist II at First Entertainment, was recently featured in a Built In LA article, where he shared how Pride strengthens our organization: “When diverse perspectives, especially from our LGBTQIA colleagues, are genuinely valued, it’s like a creativity sprinkler goes off leading to real innovation.” At First Entertainment, we’re committed to creating a welcoming space where everyone belongs. Discovery Fit Nation Friends and Family 5K! 🏃♀️🍦🎉 With 19 incredible volunteers from First Entertainment, we showed up in full force—passing out water to keep runners hydrated, giving out medals at the finish line, spreading joy with our ice cream truck, running the spin-the-wheel game & raffle, and handing our fun prizes! A huge thank you to Warner Bros. Discovery for bringing the community together for a day of wellness, connection, and celebration. Through an “adult for a day” simulation, over 60 seventh graders learned to budget, manage expenses, understand credit, and make informed financial decisions — laying a strong foundation for their futures. We’re honored to support initiatives like JA Finance Park that empower young people with the knowledge and confidence to take on real-world financial challenges.
