Last week, Fleet Feet hosted an internal Leadership Summit open to anyone with a direct report. Per Alex Tallman, "It was the best leadership training I’ve ever seen - let alone had the privilege of being involved in. And it’s all because of the person whose Zoom window is highlighted in green in the picture below, Heather Fencik. She had a “radical” idea of blending the concepts of Radical Candor, LLC with our core value of Engage & Empower Our Community. Working with myself, Sarah Holden, Lena Estey, Dani Tiltgen, and Amy Rihel, she was able to weave the topics of inspiration, knowing yourself & knowing your team, psychological safety, getting stuff done, employee development, and the art of delegation into a story that continued to build on itself throughout the entire day. The result was a slew of novel and actionable takeaways for leaders at all levels of our brand. As always, the attendees showed up for it. Everyone was eager to dive in, get vulnerable, and learn from one another. We have some amazing people at Fleet Feet, and they’re what make the brand great."

She exudes warmth and positive energy, and she inspires people of all ages and abilities to run, to move, to embrace their bodies. In fact, spending a few minutes with her would quickly convince anyone that Running Changes Everything. “I’m trying to bring more women into the space,” says Adina. “Come in as you are, and don’t let society dismiss you because of your age, because of your race, because of your weight.” Want to know the rest of her story?
