Cash donations can also be made in-store or online.

The Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation has awarded more than 250 grants during its fall/winter grant cycle across Food Lion’s 10-state footprint. The $750,000 in funding supports the vital work of our community feeding partners and their efforts to nourish neighbors experiencing hunger. By increasing access to nutritious food and offering nutrition education, we provide long-term solutions to address food insecurity. Since its inception in 2001, the Foundation has distributed more than $19.6 million.
Food Lion will donate all monetary contributions made at checkout in-store or online to organizations supporting hurricane relief feeding efforts through Food Lion Feeds Foundation within Food Lion's 10-state footprint, through October 30, 2024, and will match up to $1,000,000. Every $1 helps provide the equivalent of 10 meals.

For each bag of oranges purchased, 5 meals* were provided to families experiencing food insecurity. For every dollar donated, 10 meals* were provided.
