On Sunday, September 29, 2019, 38 H2Mers and their families participated in the 2019 Tunnel to Towers 5K Run & Walk NYC alongside 30,000+ people from around the world! The event symbolizes Stephen Siller’s final footsteps from the foot of the Hugh L. Carey Tunnel (formerly known as the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel) to the Twin Towers Site, and pays homage to the 343 FDNY firefighters, 71 law enforcement officers, and thousands of civilians who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. It is a moving and patriotic event with the streets lined with West Point cadets, police, and firemen in dress uniform each holding a banner with a photo of perished colleagues on that fateful day. As we have for the past five years, H2M architects + engineers joined the non-for-profit group "Warriors for A Cause" in celebrating the lives of these brave New Yorkers who gave their lives on September 11. A combined check of more than $20,000 was presented to the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation. #H2M #T2TRUN2019 #T2TRUN #Tunnel2Towers
