As we reflect on 2024, one of our many highlights is the Hackathon event held on Giving Tuesday. Teaming up with BUD Leaders, we hosted an epic event where three brilliant black-owned SMEs joined forces with a group of IHG leaders to hack through real business challenges.💡✨ From brainstorming to problem-solving, the energy in the room was off the charts! This event continued the spirit of Black History Month by giving our IHG colleagues #RoomToMakeADifference by supporting the black business community in meaningful ways. ❤️

This partnership is part of our Journey to Tomorrow responsible business plan which includes a commitment to improve the lives of 30 million people in our communities around the world and supporting those in need is key to achieving this. To our millions of IHG One Rewards members, you can easily donate points to Action Against Hunger, via our IHG One Rewards Catalog online! Your points make a difference. For example, every 10,000 points donated is enough to screen approximately 124 children for malnutrition, an essential first step toward the care they need and on average, 7,500 points can support a malnourished child with nutritious food for six weeks and help bring them back to health.

As September ends, we’re proud to look back on a month filled with community support and generosity. Our annual "Giving For Good" initiative once again brought together colleagues from all corners of the company - both hotel and corporate roles - united by the shared goal of giving back to those in need. From volunteering at local food banks and shelters to participating in sponsored walks and environmental clean ups, our teams engaged with local communities to make a meaningful difference. Giving For Good not only allows us to offer support where it’s needed, but it also strengthens the bonds between our colleagues, reminding us that together, we can create a lasting, positive impact.
