Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that marks the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the enduring pursuit of freedom, dignity, and equality. At IKEA U.S., we believe learning is an active choice. Juneteenth is a reminder to listen, expand our understanding of our shared history and take meaningful steps toward a more equitable future. As we reflect on the past and look toward what’s possible, we stand with our co‑workers and communities in building spaces where everyone feels valued, supported and empowered to thrive.
Hej all! I’m Lupe Covarrubias (they/them), and this Pride Month feels especially meaningful as I reflect on the journey that brought me here as a Sales and Supply Support Specialist at IKEA Portland. For me, Pride is about honoring who I am and the community that made that possible. I exist today because of so many brave, authentic individuals who came before me, and that inspires me to show up for others the same way. It’s a reminder to create space, celebrate each other and appreciate the differences that make us who we are. Here’s to showing up everyday, supporting one another and celebrating every story! 💛 #CelebrateYourSpace

Hej! I’m Crystal Manalac (she/her), People & Culture Generalist at IKEA San Diego. 💙💛 Some of my favorite memories are of rolling lumpia with my mom and aunt, laughing together as we prepared for the next family gathering. I know now that they were passing down more than a recipe. - It was about sharing history and forming a deep sense of belonging. That’s what AANHPI Heritage Month means to me: keeping our traditions alive by sharing them, inviting others in and creating visibility for the cultures that shaped us. I’m grateful to carry these traditions forward and to work in a place that encourages all of us to celebrate your space.
Hej! I’m Koh Chiba (he/him), Public Affairs Leader at the IKEA U.S. Service Office. 💙💛 AANHPI Heritage Month is a moment for me to honor my father’s journey and the resilience that shapes our communities. His story reminds me why representation matters and why it’s essential that future generations feel seen and valued. That perspective guides my work at IKEA where I focus on making our cultural moments thoughtful, authentic and rooted and real inclusion. I’m proud to share my story and to be part of a team that encourages everyone to celebrate your space.
At our Perryville fulfillment center, our Beehive Pilot Program supports the struggling bee population with onsite beehives. In FY25 alone, our hives: 🐝 Helped pollinate 49 square miles and over 1.5 billion flowers 🐝 Produced fresh, hyperlocal honey, with 100+ jars shared with co‑workers 🐝 Reached peak honey production in August Co-workers also participated in The Wonders of Beeswax workshop that provided hands-on wax crafting while learning how our hives are strengthening biodiversity and local ecosystems. Tack to our Perryville co-workers and beekeeping partners who continue to help this initiative grow, showing how small actions can reverse nature loss and build a more resilient planet right in our own backyard.💛
Hej! I’m Noira Notarte (she/her) at IKEA Savannah CFF. 💙💛 For me, AANHPI Heritage Month begins in the kitchen with the smell of Pancit — the dish my mom made for every celebration, always filled with stories, laughter and love. I have carried that tradition forward to stay connected to my heritage and share a little piece of home with others. That same spirit shapes how I show up at work, making sure people feel supported, included and seen for who they are. I’m proud to share my heritage and to be part of a team that encourages everyone to celebrate your space.
Happy #AANHPIHeritageMonth! 💙💛 This month is a celebration of the voices, memories and traditions carried by Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities. From recipes handed down through generations to the cultural rituals that make a home feel like home, all month long our co‑workers will share the stories that shaped them and the heritage they carry into their everyday lives at IKEA.
This #EarthDay, we’re sharing how IKEA U.S. is putting care for the planet into action through everyday choices that add up across the country: 🌎 Across 49 units, we repackaged 1.5 million pieces, gave 4.3 million items second life through our As-Is program and bought back 14,662 items from customers through our Buy Back & Resell programs. 🌎 Provided 145 EV charging stations (including 112 fast chargers and 121 for our fleet) to help power cleaner commutes. 🌎 Our onsite fuel cells made over 14 million kWh of clean energy without burning fuel, helping prevent 2.2 million pounds of CO₂.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate the grand opening of IKEA Phoenix! To everyone in the community who showed up early for the festivities, your excitement made this milestone truly special and a good reminder of why we’re committed to making shopping with IKEA easier and more convenient for the many people in the Valley.
