This past March, Lamar Advertising celebrated National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month by partnering with Kansas City-area artist Ryan Sikes to turn his art into a digital billboard! Sikes, a member of the Johnson County Developmental Supports Emerging Artists program, had his artwork displayed on several digital billboards throughout the Kansas City area. When Sikes was asked what his dream for his art was, he said to have it displayed on a billboard. Lamar is thrilled that we were able to help Ryan’s dream come true!
We’re happy to announce that we’ve added several new benefits for employees this year. New Holidays: Employees now enjoy President’s Day and Juneteenth off from work–a total of 12 holidays annually! Parental Leave & Short-Term Disability: We’re now providing paid time for all parents seeking to bond with a newborn or newly placed foster or adopted child. We have extended short-term disability benefits for birthing parents–increasing from 6 weeks to 8 weeks. Fertility Benefits: There’s now an increased lifetime maximum of $10,000 for fertility treatments.$5,000 can be used for medical treatments & an additional $5,000 is available for pharmacy-related coverage. Bereavement Leave: We have extended bereavement leave from 3 days to 5 days for immediate family members. Additionally, we have expanded the definition of “immediate” to include more people than before. We heard what our employees had to say! We hope these changes will help us continue to live up to our values and offer a better sense of work-life balance.
