As excitement builds around the opening of the new SFUSD Mission Bay School, our Northern Pacific McCarthy Heart Hats team was proud to give back to the broader district through a yard beautification effort. In partnership with the San Francisco Unified School District, McCarthy volunteers helped plant and refresh 39 planters across 10 San Francisco school campuses — ensuring students return to brighter, more vibrant outdoor spaces. A heartfelt thank you to every volunteer who showed up with energy, care, and a passion for our community. This is what being a community builder looks like.

Building the new SSM Health Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital or building with LEGOs alongside kids at the current hospital? It’s hard to say which is more rewarding, but we’re incredibly grateful for both. Our project team had a wonderful time spreading joy, sharing updates about the new hospital and connecting with kids and their families. Moments like these are a meaningful reminder of the impact this project will have, and why being part of this community is so special.
We joined our project partners at Granger Construction Company for a Heart Hats event benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities. Together, our teams spread 12 yards of playground mulch and 6 yards of landscaping mulch across the playground, memory garden and flower beds, helping create a more welcoming space for families staying at Ronald McDonald House. As we work with Michigan State University on critical campus energy infrastructure, it’s just as important to show up beyond the jobsite. We’re proud to partner with MSU and Granger to make a difference in the community, too.
Safety isn’t built in a single moment. It’s built when people speak up, stop unsafe work and look out for one another. Across the company, our teams take pride in safety. They recognize risks, respond with action and show respect for every person on the jobsite. From wastewater and aviation to healthcare, marine and renewable energy, we're sharing real stories of teams asking tough questions, making changes and strengthening how they work. Take a few minutes to read how our teams are improving safety and building a culture of care on every project, every day.
