Once again, for the 19th year in a row, nurses have been rated as the most trusted professionals in America, according to Gallup's annual poll. Not surprisingly, they scored even higher for honesty and ethics than they did year before. How could they not with the many ways 2020 tested them? We love our nurses at Methodist. We couldn't live without them!
Yay, Methodist Mansfield! The hospital scored an A Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group® for 2020. It's a distinction that recognizes the hospital's achievements protecting patients from harm and providing safer healthcare. We think it's safe to say that Methodist Mansfield is one of the best!

A remarkable first for our transplant program! Four Methodist patients were part of a lifesaving transplant chain. Two living donors gave up a kidney to help two people they’ve never met. All four surgeries happened the same day at Methodist Dallas. Paired donations like this allow living donors to save lives even when they aren’t a perfect match for the person they hoped to help.
Congratulations to Methodist Mansfield! It just earned accreditation as a Practice Transition Program from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). The distinction means that the hospital demonstrates excellence in transitioning nurses to new practice settings. Methodist Mansfield has already helped support more than 235 nurse residents in the hospital's medical-surgical, critical care, and emergency departments. Our RN residents rock!

Michelle Ferrell, a nurse and case manager at Methodist Mansfield, was used to helping cancer patients navigate devastating diagnoses. Then she got breast cancer herself. She had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction surgery. Now she's taking steps to reduce the risk of cancer returning. Through it all, Michelle impressed her doctors with her resilience. Now she inspires women to keep up monthly breast self-exams.
