The hospital and Metro Life Flight celebrated the launch of ProMedica’s new EC145 helicopter during a ribbon cutting at Sandusky Regional Airport on Friday, October 6, 2023. The new helicopter has upgraded features, including superior flight capabilities, a more spacious cabin that will allow transport of multiple patients and increased supplies, and cutting-edge avionics to assist with navigation and communication, ProMedica said.
On this day 22 years ago, 2,996 people woke up like they had hundreds of times before. Some headed off to catch morning flights. Most headed to their jobs for the start of another work day. Firefighters, Paramedics, and Police officers headed in for the morning shift. None of them saw past 10:00 am Sept 11, 2001. In a few brief moments, life was forever changed. As you go through the day, take a few minutes to honor those lost on that day and the untold number who have since passed as a result of that tragic event. Tonight before you go to sleep, kiss the ones you love, snuggle them a little tighter, and never take one second of your life for granted.
Metro Aviation recently delivered the second of three new H125 aircraft to the Baltimore Police Department. The Aviation Unit is replacing three older aircraft and will continue to utilize a fourth EC120 for its fleet.
