John is an Internet Sales Manager at Heritage Chevrolet Buick Owings Mills who's spent a week every August for close to three decades supporting Camp Sunrise, a camp for pediatric cancer patients near Annapolis, MD. His family's journey with Camp Sunrise began in 1995, the summer after his son, Jarrett, was diagnosed with leukemia. John has been with Heritage for over twelve years and we are so lucky to have him as part of our crew. An outstanding member of the team, and more importantly, an outstanding person. Yesterday, in partnership with Vehicles for Change, we presented 10 deserving Marylanders with new wheels at Heritage Toyota Owings Mills! These vehicles will open up a world of possibility for the recipients, allowing them to regain their independence and provide for their loved ones. Since partnering with Vehicles for Change, we’ve donated more than 200 cars to families in need. Vehicles for Change receive the donations, their ASE certified master techs oversee making them “road ready,” and then VFC awards them at affordable prices to eligible families in Maryland and Virginia. We know transportation can transform lives, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with VFC and our other incredible nonprofit partners to provide access to safe transportation to those in our communities. ❤️🤍💙

We are proud to announce that Scott Fader, MileOne Chief Operating Officer, has been named the 2022 American Cancer Society Philanthropy Partner of the Year. The Philanthropy Partner of the Year Award is a national award that recognizes an individual or foundation that has partnered with the American Cancer Society and made an incredible impact on the success of ACS' fundraising and development goals. Since 2000, MileOne has raised over $4.8 Million to help ACS fight cancer and support local patients with their transportation needs. Over our 22 year partnership, we've sponsored Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (both in Maryland and Virginia), donated vehicles to the ACS raffle fundraiser, raising between $60,000 to $100,000 annually, donated hours and meals to Hope Lodge, and supported fundraising efforts through our Subaru dealerships and their Share the Love campaigns. We look forward to continuing our meaningful partnership with ACS as we focus on providing access to safe transportation to those in the communities we serve.
