Great organizations provide value to their communities. That’s why PDS® and its team members feel that it’s important to give back. Here's what we accomplished in 2018:
PDS will be the first dental support organization to join the Epic community!
Within the next month, more than 200 volunteers from PDS in the Las Vegas and San Antonio areas are gearing up to partner with @KaBoom to build a playground for a community in need. The teams will work together for one common goal… to transform an empty site into a state-of-the-art playground for hundreds of children to use and further support a healthier lifestyle, encourage creativity, and promote child play. PDS has been a proud supporter of KaBOOM! since 2010.
On August 18, 2018, over 622 PDS-supported dental offices participated in the 8th annual Smile Generation Serve Day – a day when dental services are donated to community members who wouldn’t otherwise have access to the oral health care they need. Over 5,000 volunteers across 20 states helped provide 2,700 patients with $5.6 million of donated dentistry. Stephen Thorne IV, CEO of Pacific Dental Services, visited several offices in Southern California and Nevada on this day of service. A true believer in service, Thorne has encouraged team members to serve not only patients but also their communities – to make a difference here and across the globe.
Our employees partnered with The PDS Foundation and raised over $61,000 on Giving Tuesday to expand training and advocacy for special needs patients
