A record 3,300-plus students applied for the opportunity to intern at PenFed, the nation’s second largest federal credit union. Attracting talent from top schools all over the country, 32 undergraduate and three graduate school students were selected to intern at PenFed’s Tysons headquarters and other PenFed locations in the Greater Washington, DC area. Several of the students are returning interns. The interns surprised PenFed leaders attending their kick-off event with an unexpected donation of a portion of their first paychecks to the PenFed Foundation, demonstrating their inspiration from and shared beliefs in PenFed’s commitment to support charitable organizations and the communities in which it serves.
