Pressley Ridge was proud to sponsor and participate in this year’s FFTA-For the Good of Families Annual Conference in Chicago, themed “Four Decades of Fueling Change.” With 33 staff members in attendance, our team was well represented through four engaging presentations and a sponsored Kinship Networking Event. Kimberly Young and Kimberly Lohrfink helped lead the Kinship Networking Event, sharing the committee’s mission and inviting others to get involved. Karen L. Celedonia, PhD, MPH, Stephanie Johnston and Summer Zueger presented on preserving foster care placements and strengthening placement stability for youth. Michael Kaelin and Patti McCloud shared strategies for preparing, training and supporting foster parents through intentional preparation and bridge training. Robine (Ro) Bonner, Triciana Porter and Broc Fontenot highlighted Texas Family Care Network’s human-centered approach to training and mentorship in child welfare. Kimberly Lohrfink and Karen L. Celedonia, PhD, MPH also shared how Pressley Ridge is elevating client voice and fostering staff buy-in through participatory outcome design. We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect, learn and share ideas with fellow leaders and partners working to strengthen outcomes for youth, families and communities.

Tori was recognized for the quality of work she produces, relationships she builds with families and consistency in meeting deadlines. While Markia earned this award with her positive and flexible attitude and strength-based approach in challenging situations. Congratulations, Tori and Markia!

The BH Fellows program is an educational loan repayment and training program for new and existing workers in the behavioral health system in Allegheny County. The program, sponsored by Allegheny County, offers competitive salaries, student loan repayment (up to $45,000), and career development. We are proud to announce that Pressley Ridge has been named a 2023 Top Workplace by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette! In addition, our President & CEO Susanne Cole was honored with the Leadership Award in the Large Employer category. A big thank you to all of our employees who helped make this happen. Several Western PA employees attended the awards event on Friday evening. As Susanne was unable to attend the event, Jesse McLean, Executive Director of PA, accepted the award on her behalf.
