🏡 Making an Impact Beyond our Day-to-Day 🛠️ Our team of Prometheans had an incredible opportunity to volunteer with Habitat for Humanity for our quarterly New Hire Porch event. We picked up hammers and paintbrushes to contribute to building a playhouse for a child in need. Beyond just constructing the playhouse, our New Prometheans fostered a stronger sense of community and togetherness. A huge thank you to everyone who participated and to Habitat for Humanity for providing us with this opportunity to give back.
Happy Women's History Month! Myshelle Vieira, Sr. Neighborhood Director and member of our Diversity Inclusion and Belonging Committee, shares her thoughts on last week's International Women's Day. "International Women’s Day is a celebration of the many contributions that women have provided throughout history. As a mother of two daughters, this day holds a lot of significance. Whether it be in the social, economic, political, or cultural arena - Women have done a great deal to shape the world as we know it today and that deserves to be celebrated. International Women’s Day is also a great opportunity to shine a light on the bias and gender gap that still exists and to continue the important fight against gender discrimination. As a woman of color and a member of the DIB team at Prometheus, promoting the recognition, acceptance, and appreciation of differences among all individuals holds a special place in my heart. We strive to cultivate an environment where people of all backgrounds are celebrated, respected, and valued – where everyone has the opportunity to reach their full potential. The culture of embracing differences is very much a part of what makes Prometheus great!”
At Prometheus, the onboarding experience through our Playbook creates a meaningful impact for our new Prometheans. This week, our Playbook leaders gathered in the Study at Brickline to refresh their training skills, share best practices, and role play through different scenarios. Kudos to our Learning & Development team for creating a day filled with the knowledge they need to leave feeling empowered to utilize their training skills for our new hires to come.

Decking the halls with joy! Our Porch Prometheans dedicated a day to crafting a magical winter toy shop with Ronald McDonald House Charities. RMHC envisions a world where every sick child receives the care they deserve, surrounded by loving family and community. We are grateful to contribute to our neighborhood’s well-being, and honored to collaborate with such a wonderful organization.
Our inaugural GetGROWing Program started 7 months ago, where our Senior Neighbor Ambassadors participated in multiple learning sessions with our SMEs from different departments, engaged in case studies, situational role playing and more. With the goal of advancing their career in mind, our Get GROWers spent their final day accomplished, and more confident in their skills for the next step of their Promethean journey. Congratulations on GROWduating the program Brianna Walraven-Crescini, Aaron Whitaker, Liliyonna Fernandes, Erin Forsyth, William Vasquez, JuliAnn Valerio, Alfonzo Alger, Brenden Perez, Sergio Bartolo and Harvey Martinez. Kudos to our Learning and Development team for creating a meaningful learning experience for our Prometheans.
The waves were roaring, the sun was beaming, and the impact lasting – 1,185 cigarette butts, 18 pounds of trash, and 6 pounds of recyclables were collected. A colossal thank you to Pacific Beach Coalition and our Promethean volunteers for leaving the beach better than we found it!
Our Porch Prometheans spent the day with Habitat for Humanity channeling their creativity by building and painting one-of-a-kind playhouses for deserving families. With every nail hammered, coat of paint applied, and finishing touch, we are building a stronger community together. Thank you to our dedicated Prometheans and partners who made this day of giving back possible!
