Congratulations to our incredible team at The Carson! With their drive, enthusiasm, and attention to detail, the team has hit another milestone. At 60% leased, The Carson is home to countless happy Neighbors, making a serious impression on Slabtown, Portland.
The Princess Project promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing over two thousand high school teens in the Silicon Valley area with free prom dresses and accessories. It makes prom a possibility for those who could not otherwise afford to go. Our Prometheans had the opportunity to help make prom dreams a reality by serving as “Fairy Godmothers” (personal shoppers) during the Dress Giveaway event. We helped create a meaningful experience for teens by being supportive and offering words of encouragement as we helped them find the perfect prom dress and accessories. It was a joyous occasion with many teens leaving happily and looking forward to wearing their dresses.
Over 101,000 apartment communities were evaluated and ranked by their online reputation by J. Turner Research. Only 1% made the list of elite performers. Prometheus secured three prestigious slots, outperforming our leading competitors in our respective markets and ranking nationally. Our teams at Trestle, Madera, and Cobalt have kept the Neighbor experience and sense of community alive for our Neighbors. Congratulations to our hardworking teams for the incredible accomplishment and recognition!
Prometheus was recently recognized on the NMHC Top 25 list for largest apartment developers in 2018, ranking nationally at 21. We are the only firm based in the Bay Area to make this list. Congratulations to all our hard working Prometheans on this incredible accomplishment!
The transformation of the Civic Center has been noted as one of the new projects, plans, and constructions that stood out this year. We're honored to support the Helen Diller Family Foundation and their important work.
Each year, the Helen Diller Family Foundation awards $36,000 to fifteen teens for exceptional leadership and engagement. We are proud to support the Foundation in recognizing these spectacular young people. In the words of a Promethean in attendance at the scholarship event, “I can tell you that I felt small in the company of these teens. Their audaciousness to dream big and pursue great change in the world was humbling.” Congratulations to these incredible young leaders already changing our world in a meaningful way.
There are few occasions that bring people from all over the world together for one unified celebration, and there are certainly none more colorful than PRIDE. Prometheus is proud to take part in Pride Month for the fourth consecutive year. Prometheus marches as an ally with our brothers and sisters of the PRIDE community. We are a place that wraps our arms around diversity and inclusion for all. A fellow Promethean shared that it is “emotionally overwhelming to celebrate who I am with my work family. I know this is a place where everyone has my back”. Creating spaces of acceptance from the Silicon Valley to the Silicon Forest embodies the true feelings of I AM HOME.
For the sixth consecutive year, Prometheus has been recognized as one of the Bay Area’s “Best Places to Work” in the “large companies” category by the San Francisco Business Times and Silicon Valley Business Journal. To be consistently recognized among a diverse group of impressive Bay Area business organizations and industries is a testament to everyone’s incredible work here.

We make learning look good! In the spirit of Simplicity, a Prometheus goal for 2017, the L&D team redesigned its online learning portal (GROW) to give a fresh and focused look to its rich catalog of learning content, containing popular courses like leadership and personal development. Speaking of fresh looks, our Prometheans who most utilized the new online learning portal were awarded their own personalized “GROW” jackets as a reward for taking their learning and development into their own hands. Congratulations to Prometheans like Ben Lei (our Neighbor Service Tech 3 at The Lakes) for championing his growth with us!
